enemy concept art

These are some of the concept art I have been making for the enemy's in the game. The first one is a broken china doll, for the first few levels we are going to have enemy's that are broken and creepy because they are abandoned and live in the basement of the factory. Which is why I made this character a broken china doll because they are supposed to be all sweet and innocent looking, so having it broken and lifeless looking makes it creepy. I drew her with a basket and hood so it is like a creepy little red riding hood, but we might just go with her wearing a doll dress and have an ax instead of a basket, or maybe keep the hood but have an ax instead, or maybe both, were still deciding on that.

The second picture is one of those hanging Halloween decorations. We thought we should have an enemy that is in the air so that you have to keep an eye on the ground and air. This character wont have any weapons but will come down and hit Asher.

The last one is a little rag doll. Rag dolls are supposed to be cute and sweet looking, so i made her look all sweet and stuff but gave her a meat cleaver. having a cute, innocent looking rag doll try to hack away at you with a meat cleaver is just creepy.

Asher (story)

The world in which Asher lives in consists of toys. Asher is one of the many toys that lives in a tower. All was peaceful in the tower until the new toys came; they started talking about how the new toys were better than the older ones and Asher was one of the inferior designs. He and the other toys that were considered inferior were thrown out of the tower, and Asher finds himself in an abandoned warehouse full of unfinished toys. As he explores the warehouse he discovers that there are toys that have lived under the harsh environment of the old abandoned warehouse years before the new toys came. After defeating one of the stronger toys there, he hears about a plan that involves the ones called "the superior ones", after much digging and exploring he finds out that "the superior ones" are planning to make a fierce weapon that is capable of obliterating any toy they consider to be beneath them within seconds. Asher, knowing that the world he lives in is in danger of being controlled by a sadistic mastermind, makes his way back to the tower to put an end to their plans for world domination. But, upon reaching said destination; Asher finds out that the building was only one of Zack's hideouts, and the building that was towering over the one Asher is in is where Zack is. After fighting his way to Zack, Asher then realizes that he is invulnerable to Zack's "secret weapon" and he uses that advantage to defeat Zack.
